The Wingate Club is a purpose-built gay men's bathhouse on the bank of the Whau River in Avondale, Auckland, New Zealand. Avondale is a quiet inner-west suburb about 15 minutes by car from the centre of Auckland.

The Wingate Club is the largest sex-on-site gay venue in Auckland and includes all the normal facilities such as spa, sauna, steam room (wet sauna), gay videos, and dark cruise area, as well as having a large solar-heated outdoor swimming pool set in secluded grounds. Nude sunbathing, outdoor sexual activity, strolling through the picturesque hillside bushland (naked, with a towel or clothed), or just sitting and chatting in the sun are all possible here. Smoking is permitted in all outdoor areas, including some all-weather sheltered areas.

Forget parking hassles. There is a lot of free parking available, either in our 32-car off-street carpark, or in the quiet suburban Wingate Street outside the Club. There are no parking time restrictions.

We open every day of the year (including ALL public holidays) at 12 noon and close late. The Wingate Club has the lowest entry fees of any bathhouse in Auckland and you will not be dissapointed at the facilities available. Casual entry, memberships, student, community card, buddy days (Mondays and Tuesdays) and late night discounts are all available. We do not charge holiday surcharges on public holidays.
